Do all bearings need to be insulated?

Do all bearings need to be insulated?  The answer is NOT necessarily.

In some cases insulated bearings are only used in the nondrive side, where the smallest bearings are mounted.
A single insulated bearing breaks the current, but doesn’t always prevent stray currents passing through the bearing. If you want to increase the reliability of the motor, then we recommend that electrically insulated bearings are used   on both the drive side and non-drive side. This provides optimal durability and lifetime, and completely prevents electrical currents passing through the bearing. If the drive side bearing is a roller bearing, then it can be difficult to obtain an insulated bearings, but in some cases the bearing can be replaced with a hybrid ball bearing.
